Azento by Dentsply Sirona
Implant specialist Alex Rugh, CDT introduces Azento by Dentsply Sirona and describes how easy it is to get started with this complete implant solution.
What is it?
Azento is a streamlined solution for the planning, placement, and restoration of implant cases. Each Azento case includes all of the components necessary to complete the implant placement process.
You will need to order a starter kit for the implant system you will be working with which can be ordered through your rep or from Dentsply Sirona customer service.
How to order
You can start the ordering process through the Azento Portal.
Azento™ is a streamlined solution for the planning, placement, and restoration of implant cases. Each Azento™ case includes all of the components necessary to complete the implant placement process.
The process is really easy and just requires a CBCT and digital impression which are both uploaded using the Azento™ portal at orderdigitalsolutions.com.
The Azento™ team then creates the treatment plan which includes the implant positioning and surgical guide design along with a custom healing abutment. Alternatively, a temporary abutment and crown can be designed instead of the healing abutment. The treatment planning and designs are then sent to the clinician for approval and once any requested changes are made, the surgical guide and abutment are created.
Within 5 days of the order being approved, the Azento™ box will arrive, and in the box you’ll find the surgical guide, the chosen implant, all of the drilling instruments required to place the implant, and either the healing abutment or the custom abutment and temporary crown.
At this point, the digital information is sent to the lab of choice to start working on the definitive restoration. And a great thing about this system is that the Atlantis custom abutment is created using the design file from the healing abutment, so you get the exact same emergence profile. And if you opted for the temporary crown, that abutment can be used for the definitive restoration, or the lab can get an exact duplicate made.
Azento™ is available in the US right now for the Astra EV and Xive® systems and will be available in Europe in 2019. To get started with Azento™ you will need a start-up kit which you can order through your rep or from Dentsply customer service.
