Dental Technician

At O’Brien Dental Lab, we offer a career path in the exciting field of dental health, without the burden of student loan debt. No previous experience is necessary in our earn as you learn environment. Operations Support

O’Brien support staff members are part of a well-oiled clerical team dedicated to ensuring excellence in customer care. Delivery Driver

O’Brien Customer Service Route Representatives are the face of our company and we always strive to put our best face forward. Not just a delivery driver, O’Brien Reps are friendly, attentive, customer centric individuals who go all out to consistently deliver exceptional customer service. Openings

Crown & Bridge Technician

Primary Function:

Perform assigned production steps required in manufacturing dental prosthetics

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Higher than average manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills
  • Ability to discern slight variations in color

Personal Qualities:

  • Team player, exhibiting a can-do approach to the work assignment
  • Reliable, demonstrated through punctuality and attendance
  • Flexible, willing to meet occasional overtime demands and temporary schedule changes

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment, some noise.
  • Job duties can generally be accomplished from either a sitting or standing position
  • Some walking, occasional bending, continuous use of hand/wrists
  • Work may require use of motorized tools, high heat ovens, open flame, precision welders 

Shift:  

  • Full time: Monday – Friday
  • Shift starts at 8am

Customer Support Generalist

Primary Function:

The individual hired for this position will take on the responsibility of first responder to incoming calls, greet and assist walk-in visitors, and perform a variety of additional office tasks.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Operational knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of basic office equipment, including copier, fax, postage meter, scanner, and multi-line phone systems
  • 1+ years of direct customer service experience, preferably in an office environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of shipping software (UPS, Fed Ex, and USPS) preferred but not required.

  • Full time: Monday – Friday
  • Shift: 6:30am– 3:30pm

Model Production Technician

Primary Function:

Perform the production steps required to create a precise replica of the dental patient’s teeth and surrounding tissue.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Higher than average manual dexterity, hand/eye coordination, and fine motor skills

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed indoors, in a climate-controlled environment and will require the use of a wide variety of tools and equipment.
  • Equipment noise, plaster dust, and wet materials are part of the workspace.
  • A combination of standing, walking and sitting are necessary to perform job tasks
  • Occasional reaching above the shoulder and lifting/carrying of items weighing 25lbs or less.

Shift:

  • Full-time: Monday – Friday
  • Shift starts at 1pm and ends when the day’s work is completed

Office Logistics Team Leader

Primary Function:

The O’Brien Office Logistics Team Leader ensures exceptional customer service through cultivating departmental efficiency and staff management, as well as performs a variety of customer service and clerical duties in support of the company mission.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Operational knowledge of computers and Office 365 programs
  • Working knowledge of basic office equipment, including copier, fax, postage meter, scanner, and multi-line phone system
  • Minimum of one year customer service and 2+ years supervisory experience in an office environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Production Scheduler

Primary Function: Process incoming work, accurately interpreting and entering doctor/patient data into the production scheduling system.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:  Operational knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs.

Personal Qualities: The Production Scheduler should be adaptable; willing to meet all challenges with a constructive and helpful approach. Should understand the importance of the role of a team member with regard to sharing the workload, reliably reporting to work as scheduled, and having the ability to work well with a wide variety of personalities. Must be willing to support the company promise of quality service, demonstrated through a customer first outlook.

Working Environment and Physical Demands: Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment, mostly from a sitting position. Some walking and occasional lifting/carrying of items weighing up to 20 lbs.

Shift: Shift starts at 10:00 am and ends when work is completed.

Small Package Processing Clerk (Part-time)

Primary Function: To receive, unpackage, perform disinfection process, inventory, and label incoming work for production staff. Inventory and package outgoing work for delivery to customer.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements: Must be able to read and write English and be 18 years of age or older.

Personal Qualities: Supportive team player, reliable, focused, and self-motivated.

Working Environment and Physical Demands: Work is generally performed from a standing position, in a lab/office environment. Some lifting & carrying of items weighing up to 25 lbs.

Shift: Work shift starts at 4:00 PM and ends when work is completed. This part-time position can work well with a school schedule.

Wage & Benefits:  $14.00 per hour starting wage. Benefits include vacation, holiday, and personal-time-off (PTO) pay, as well as access to company sponsored Employee Assistance Plan.
